Decompression

The Burning Man Decompression party was an experience as expected. I brought Florian with me from work (who is a BM virgin). The night was fuckin awesome. When we came there, after a couple of drinks in Camden Town, the party was already going since long. Long before we reached the place you could here the drums and wanted to start dancing.

When we came inside we had to spin a wheel and depending on where it stopped, you had to go and do different things. Florian was sent to the costume room and was given some weird clothes and a farmers hat.

This was a big house with a big garden outside. In the garden were at least three fires. There was a huge fire pit dug in the ground with a huge fire going. When we came out there, everyone was summoned in the garden, about 10 people were drumming some funky beat, people were dancing, and there were fire performances.

We went to stand in line for the doctors office to get a prescription. After you paid, you got a prescription to go to the doctor and get your drink. It was not as cheap as i had hoped for, so after that I shared a bottle of pear vodka with Florian and the people sitting next to us. After that, the following hours were kind of blurry. The music was brilliant, and the late night psy-trance was just magic, so I pretty much danced the whole night. I remember speaking a while to Silke and her zebra painted husband, who had flown in from Frankfurt just for the decompression party. I pretty much danced until 8am, when I my body started to feel sore, and it was all bright outside. I took the tube with zebra man, and a lot of normal office people.
